Who will win the general classification in the 2025 Vuelta a España according to the computer? In other words: who are the favorites for the red jersey?
The big favorite for the red jersey this year is Jonas Vingegaard. His competitors this year come from the team of arch-rival Pogacar, but are not the Slovenian himself. Juan Ayuso and Joao Almeida will be competing for UAE Team Emirates in the Vuelta.
The question is which riders have the best chance of a podium finish. Will Vingegaard's domestique Matteo Jorgenson surprise, or should we look to last year's number 3, Ben O'Connor? Carapaz, Tiberi, Gall, Bernal, Landa and Gee will also be eyeing a spot on the final podium in Madrid.
Can the UAE team come together and make it difficult for top favorite Vingegaard? There are plenty of opportunities with the many mountain stages and uphill finishes
