The final stage of the NIBC Tour of Holland takes place around Arnhem and is an innovative 155-kilometer gravel stage. The course consists of ten local circuits of 15.5 kilometers, starting and finishing on the Zijpendaalseweg. This stage is characterized by the combination of asphalt, city parks, and over one and a half kilometers of gravel per lap, a unique feature at this level of cycling in the Netherlands. The route takes the peloton through Sonsbeek Park, past Schaarsbergen, and the Netherlands Open Air Museum, among other places, and offers a variety of hilly sections, gravel sectors, and technical sections.

The focus is on the Zijpendaalseweg, a 1.4-kilometer climb at 3.5%, which can be the deciding factor at the end of each lap. The gravel sections, where positioning and steering skill are crucial, can result in mechanical failures or surprising attacks. Strategy and timing are essential here, especially because the gravel roads can break up the peloton and completely shake up the general classification on the final day.

The short, repeated climbs and the addition of gravel create a chaotic and spectacular course. Anything can happen, as this environment guarantees unpredictability and competition until the last kilometer. The organizers aim to create a worthy and exciting finale with this stage, where both the stage victory and the general classification remain open until the final lap.
