Thursday October 18 2025 - NIBC Tour of Holland - Stage 2: Etten-Leur > Etten-Leur (ITT 15km)

The second stage of the NIBC Tour of Holland is a 15 kilometer individual time trial in and around Etten-Leur, focusing on pure power, rhythm, and aerodynamics. The start is on Parklaan, after which the riders head south along gently undulating asphalt and narrow polder roads. The course balances between open plains and technical sections within the built-up area, requiring a combination of control and courage.

In the first kilometers, the riders leave the center of Etten-Leur and ride past expansive fields towards Munnikenheide and the edge of Sint Willebrord. This zone features long, straight stretches where speeds will be high, but where the westerly wind can also throw a wrench in the works. Returning to the city requires concentration: the final kilometers feature several winding streets with tight bends, where losing rhythm immediately costs time. The finish line on Oude Bredaseweg is in the heart of the city center, near the characteristic Moeierboom tree and the monumental Old Town Hall.

With only fifteen kilometers to go, the difference between the winner and loser is expected to be minimal, but the importance for the overall classification is significant. Every second counts, especially for riders aiming for a good overall result. The Etten-Leur time trial will therefore reward not only the fastest legs, but especially the best pacing and aerodynamics.
