Wednesday March 18th 2026 - Danilith Nokere Koerse: Deinze - Nokere (186.4 km)

Danilith Nokere Koerse once again launches the Flemish classics block on Wednesday 18 March 2026, with 186.4 kilometres between Deinze and the uphill finish on Nokereberg. The profile may tempt the sprinters, but it is above all a restless race in which positioning and bike handling are vital.

From the start in Deinze the peloton heads over exposed roads towards the Flemish Ardennes, where the first damage can already be done. Early in the day the riders tackle cobbled stretches such as Paddestraat, Kerkgate, Jagerij and Holleweg, interspersed with short climbs like Eikenberg, Hellestraat and Holstraat. The first passage of Nokereberg (around 350 metres at 5 to 6 percent over irregular stones) continues in the local laps around Nokere.

In the finale, repeated passages over Nokeredorpstraat, Herlegemstraat, Lange Aststraat and Huisepontweg, each time followed by Nokereberg, steadily thin the bunch. The narrow, twisting run-in and the slightly rising cobbled finishing straight keep the tension high right to the line: either a reduced bunch kicking for an explosive sprint, or a late attacker hanging on by a second or two. Nokere Koerse 2026 shapes up as a classic early-season test for riders who love cobbles and have a sharp sprint.
