Wednesday March 25th 2026 - Ronde Van Brugge (203 km)

The 2026 Ronde van Brugge offers another early taste of Flemish racing, where wind, cobbles, and sprinting will rule the day. On Wednesday, March 25, the peloton rolls out from the Markt in Bruges for 203 kilometers through West Flanders, finishing back in the same medieval square after a long, exposed circuit.

The opening kilometers lead the riders west towards Jabbeke and Gistel before looping south past Lichtervelde and Tielt. The terrain is flat, but the wide-open fields leave no hiding place when the wind picks up from the North Sea. A handful of cobbled sections around Oudenburg and Kortemark will shake up the rhythm, and the twisting local laps near Bruges are expected to create nervous moments before the finale.

Without steep climbs, it’s a race that rewards strong teams and sharp tactics. When echelons form, positioning becomes everything. If the wind stays calm, a bunch sprint in Bruges seems likely; if not, a small breakaway could decide it.

The Ronde van Brugge may not yet have the legend of the great monuments, but its mix of speed, wind, and tension makes it a pure Flemish race, always unpredictable and always worth watching.
